SYRIA, Coele-Syria. Damascus. temp. Cleopatra VII of Egypt. Circa 37-33/1 BC. Æ (20mm, 5.68 g, 12h). Dated CY 280 (33/2 BC). Helmeted and winged female head right / Hermes standing left, holding purse and caduceus; L ΠΣ (date) to left; all within wreath. De Saulcy 15; RPC I 4784; DCA 498; HGC 9, 1464. Near VF, green and red patina, a few scratches on obverse. Very rare.
